Painted Kingwood & Marble Console
Faux kingwood & Faux Marble hand painted in a marquetry style. This faux painting technique gives the impression of the wood being cut and arranged to form diamond shapes within the woodgrain. The Campan marble top was also hand painted using oil colours and glazes, then finnished off with french polish. Ornaments & pinstripes were oil gilded using 23 ct gold leaf.
